Teach Bán was established to look after you in a homely and friendly environment here in beautiful Mayo.

The house is beautifully decorated and the wood finishes throughout are a delight.

The house is located in three acres of landscaped gardens on the lakeshore of Lough Carra, Co Mayo. The immediate area has wonderful walks and is within a protected game sanctuary.

The rooms are set out as doubles and family rooms with en-suite facilities provided. Our beds have been selected to provide you with real comfort and as the location is in quite countryside you can be sure of a good nights sleep.

Tea and coffee is available for your enjoyment when required and Bridie's scones, homemade brown bread and coffee cakes provided for your enjoyment

Facilities include lots of good storage and drying room for your comfort, and for our fisherman we have freezer facility and a rod storage area.

The grounds contain plenty of secure private car parking and there are a few bicycles available for guests use also. The garden pond with its waterfall adds to the comfort of the outdoor area where you can relax to the sound of running water and watch the koi and goldfish swim about.

There are two pubs nearby and a good selection of restaurants in nearby towns Ballinrobe, Westport and Castlebar.

Michael and Bridie will do their utmost to make your stay enjoyable and will advise on local restaurants, etc. Just ask!

Breakfast

Our Irish breakfast consists of only the finest of Irish ingrediants and is freshly cooked for each serving.

A range of cereals and juices or fresh fruit salad followed by our main breakfast, which normally consists of 2 sausages, two rashers of bacon, black and white pudding, tomato, mushrooms and fried or scrambled eggs. Of course we also provide unlimited toast and homemade Irish brown bread with tea or coffee.

We will provide a vegetarian breakfast as well, so just ask!
