We Are ideally located for corporate, group, individual or family visits as we can cater for all number of visitors due to our ability to secure first class accommodation in our own as well as other local guest houses or hotels. We only use the best accommodation in our locality and we personally supervise all aspects to ensure our guests enjoyment. We will also arrange all transport including flights, transfers and hire vehicles if required.
Teach Bán itself is a modern B&B specifically created to provide a superb environment for the discerning visitor to the Lake District of South Mayo.
We were again approved as a Bed & Breakfast for 2008 by Failte Ireland.
Located on the lakeshore of Lough Carra, in the beautiful village of Partry, said to be the longest village in Ireland, but also one of the most beautiful and picturesque in the country.
We are a few miles from Ballintubber abbey (Pierce Brosnan was married here) which is steeped in history and to Church Island where a small restored 7th century church is located.
Our location offers excellent fishing but also provides some of the finest golf, hill walking and touring in the Mayo. As owners of classic cars ourselves we are particularly keen on touring the local mountains, which surround the lakes. Lough Mask nestles below Partry mountains and provides some of the finest scenic touring in Ireland and as a gateway to Connemara, we defy anyone to find better touring country.
This area is designated as area of outstanding natural beauty and is located within a wild game reserve. It is home to a wide selection of birds and bird watchers can see them in a protected and beautiful environment.
The area is renowned for its wild brown trout angling but offers excellent pike and perch fishing as well. Sea anglers are close to Westport and we can arrange excellent sea angling including packed lunch and dinner for Euro 70 per head.
Amazingly it also has splendid flora and fauna, due to some extent to its limestone rock formations, which surprisingly an extension of the Burren region of County Clare.
Teach Bán is located off the main Ballinrobe/Castlebar road, the N84. It is 5 miles from Ballinrobe (Turn right at Partry sign before entering village) , 12 miles from Castlebar ( pass church on your right and take next turn left on way to Ballinrobe) and 15 miles to Westport.
